Andreas Fichtner wins AGU Keiti Aki Award
Andreas Fichtner, former PhD student in Geophysics wins prestigious award for young scientists from the American Geophysical Union.
Andreas has made ground breaking new work on seismic waveform inversion on a continental scale. He was the first to demonstrate that this computational methodology can be applied to earthquake observations successfully on that scale. He already published a book on Full Seismic Waveform Modelling and Inversion with Springer Publishers.
